, oakland police say they are holding a news conference to talk about two recent shootings that injured police officers. police say a 13-year-old veteran was shot and wounded by a suspect during a foot chase in the fruitvale district on friday. five days earlier, on january 21st, an undercover police officer was shot and wounded while working on seminary avenue. full recoveries are expected for both officers. >>> the super bowl found 49ers are already in the big easy this morning. fans waved 49er faithful fashion as the team took off for new orleans yesterday at noon. five hours later, they touched down in new orleans for a week of practice before the game. the odds are on the niners' side. they are favored to beat the ravens. san francisco has been to the super bowl five times and they've won each game. the last one in 1995. 49ers have settled in at their new headquarters in downtown new orleans. fans greeted the players and took pictures with them in front of large banners. today, the team will begin weight lifting, practice and team meetings and we have our own team in new orleans. t

on the streets of oakland as police investigate four deadly shootings that all happened within a six hour span. the most recent killing happened at 8:15 tonight on the 900 block of hillside. they found a male suffering from a fatal gunshot wound he was pronounced dead on the scene. there are reports that as many as 30 shots were fired. the chp assisted police in the search for several suspects seen running from that area. >>> late this afternoon police responded to reports of shots fired in the 3400 block of west street in west oakland. it was about 4:15 when officers arrived on the scene. they say by then the victims were gone. he had somehow been transported to the hospital where he later died. about an hour earlier at 3:00 this afternoon a man was found dead of gunshot wounds near diamond park in the glen view district. police reported a man down. police are calling this a homicide but there is no further information. and yet another shooting happened around 2:30 this afternoon in the 2300 block of east 17th street. police said the victim was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. he was c

coming through berkeley and out to the oakland area and when you get to the toll plaza it is not busy just yet and everything looks good on 101 coming to the downtown area. let's go back to the desk. >>> a search continues for a san francisco man accused of dousing his girlfriend with gasoline and setting her on fire. alex savage has more in san francisco with what family members are saying about this attack, good morning, alex. >> reporter: they say it was an argument about laundry which prompted the attack. the victim in this case is a mother of three and remains hospitalized with severe burns to her face and chest. police are still searching for that woman's boyfriend and they want you to watch for dexter oliver. he is wanted for this attack.  he is still on the run according to the police i spoke to a time ago. it happened in the bay view district and police say oliver used gas from one of the cancers at the couple's homes and he put it into a can and doused her girlfriend and set her on fire. relatives say the victim is 25- year-old star lamar. her sister said the couple did fi
